St Asaph Street Kitchen & Stray Dog Bar

This latest arrival inside the four avenues was always going to attract crowds, particularly with its intriguing name! And what the St Asaph Street Kitchen does is likely to make this place a winner.

While St Asaph Street Kitchen & Stray Dog Bar are new arrivals to the CBD, the talented team behind this latest venture are old hands with 25 years experience running Christchurch icons, Le Café and the Backstage Bakery at the Christchurch Arts Centre. The February 2011 earthquake brought an end to these famous Christchurch eateries, but you can now breathe a sigh of relief as they are well and truly back!

At St Asaph Street Kitchen & Stray Dog Bar expect simple, homely food done well, a well stocked bar offering a selection of standard Kiwi favourites, and some more interesting offerings too (think Little Creatures and a couple of Hawaiian beers, as well as several beers on tap), good coffee and friendly laid back service that one could only expect from a good Kiwi restaurant-cum-café-cum-bar.

Opening Hours

Monday – Sunday: 7.00am – midnight (later on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights)
